Isaiah was called to be a man of God, of the Lord Yahweh. He was a great prophet who lived about 800 years before Jesus and who for 40 years prophesied in Jerusalem. His teaching was central to the whole Jewish way of life.

He spoke out on many themes including ripping off the poor and helpless,
God’s glory and anger, and plans for his faithful and unfaithful followers.

He spoke openly of the pain the people would suffer and the joys they could look forward to. He also foretold in accurate and poetic terms much about the life and death of a future Messiah 800 years into the future – Jesus.

Isaiah was most likely to say: God is Good, God is Holy, model yourselves on Him.
Least likely to say: O.K Sit around, do nothing, and God will do it all for you when he comes.
