Jimmy, aged seven, was proud of being able to say his night prayers alone, but his mother was not above listening through the door to see if he got them right. (Some mothers do this!)

One night this was how young Jimmy was heard to end his prayers.
‘God bless mum …
God bless dad …
God bless baby …
God bless grandma … ‘
This should have led to ‘Amen’, but instead this time Jimmy raised his eyes fervently to the ceiling for the final time and added:
‘And please take care of yourself, God, ’cause if anything happens to You we’re all sunk!!!‘

(Now maybe there is no danger of anything ever happening to God, but except for that, Jimmy’s idea was quite sound !) God loves all our prayers.
