IRA killed 13 protestants in a series of attacks around the towns of Bandon, Clonakilty and Dunmanway in Co Cork in April 1922.
Sr Orla Treacy IBVM from Bray is principal of the Loreto Secondary School in Rumbek which has grown from 35 students to 183 since it opened in 2008.
Talks will look at the role the friars in the 1916 Rising, War of Independence and the Celtic Cultural Revival, as well as at the height of the penal persecution.
