Church of Ireland parish of Kilternan urges people to ‘take the knee’ and pray for racial justice on Wednesday evening.

“We will need volunteers to assist with cleaning, stewarding, reading, ministering the Eucharist and other roles and responsibilities which some of our older members may be unable to fulfil at this time” - Archbishop Martin on Trinity Sunday.

Pope Francis is breaking with the custom followed by his two predecessors, Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI, of celebrating Corpus Christi in St John Lateran’s, the cathedral church of the Bishop of Rome, a custom followed since 1979.

The focus is on the Bible but looked at from different perspectives using the lens of film, music, ethics and law.

Representatives of Ireland's main Christian churches will explore and study the application of the Word of God to life and culture through 32 events at 15 venues.
