"We cannot and should not expect to return to where we had been prior to Covid-19," says Archbishop Michael Neary of Tuam.

“No prior musical education or training is necessary. However, we are ideally looking for boys and girls who love to sing and enjoy music," says musical director Blánaid Murphy.

The crucifix predates St Mary's Church, Enniskerry, and was used as an object of devotion when parishioners celebrated Mass in “Mrs Dixon’s barn”.

“Stephen Marron was so important to our lives in so many different ways. Someone whose presence was so life-giving and now is dead.”

St Mary’s, in Chapel Lane, will undergo both external and internal restoration between May and August.
