Mass broadcast on Easter Sunday morning from St Patrick’s Cemetery Chapel in Clonmel was watched by over 7,000 people either via Church Services TV or Facebook Live.
The colourful enamel cross was created by local artist Anne Murphy from Eala Enamels for the Papal Mass in the Phoenix Park.
The icon, which was written by Mihai Cucu, will be accompanied by petition boxes, and contemplative communities around Ireland have agreed to take petitions collected from families and to pray for them during the coming year.
