“Western nations are not doing enough. They have shown that the resources of Africa are more important than the ordinary people," Bishop Kukah.
The annual fast began twenty-eight years ago and has since raised an estimated €750,000 for worthy causes.
One thread common to all three Christmas messages is an appeal by the Bishop to take greater care on the roads.
This is the fifteenth year that the appeal has been held and in that time over €500,000 has been raised for local good causes.
