Divine Mercy Sunday (8 April)

08 April, 2018

On this Divine Mercy Sunday, we remember the dedication of this day by Pope Saint John Paul II in honour of St. Faustina’s vision of Christ, in which the Lord’s heart radiated forth with divine mercy for the world.

St Augustine referred to the days between Easter Sunday and today as days of mercy and pardon, and the Octave Day of Easter as “the compendium of the days of mercy”.

Today, let us place ourselves before the God of love and mercy and trust completely in Jesus our redeemer.

Let us be merciful to others, through our actions, our words and our prayers.

Risen Lord, eternal God, I thank You for your countless graces and blessings. Let every beat of my heart be a new hymn of thanksgiving to you. (St Faustina)

Divine Mercy I trust in You!
