With keynote speeches, workshops and seminars, you can do a lot of listening at the WMOF2018, but there is also much to see.
In the main RDS exhibition halls there are some 300 stands promoting faith-based organisations, charities and faith development, as well as Irish culture, crafts and tourism.
Seperately, in the RDS library there is a very interesting exhibition on the theme of ‘Art and Family’.
The exhibition was organised by the Committee for Sacred Art and Architecture of the Irish Bishops’ Conference, in association with the National Centre for Liturgy, and includes religious art about the holy family and religious art suitable for the family home.
Participating artists were asked to submit art inspired by the theme of the World Meeting of Families and/or by Pope Francis’ apostolic exhortation on love in the family, Amoris Laetitia.
While the main exhibition is full of hustle and bustle, the art exhibition is a tranquil place that offers visitors a very meditative experience.
