The Miles for Mission 5km fun run in the Phoenix Park takes place today, October 20, at 11am.
Funds raised today will help projects such as Atse Primary School in Ethiopia, where the Daughters of Charity are working to provide free, high-quality education in one of the most challenging suburbs of Addis Ababa, a city of more than three million people.
The race starts at 11am, but there are plenty who will be doing the route at their own pace and at their own time. Everyone is welcome to run, jog or walk the route in the company of members, supporters and friends of World Missions Ireland and Vincentian Lay Missionaries (VLM).
Online registration is closed, but there will be registration for runners from 10am onwards at the Papal Cross.
The motto of the VLM is: “Do one thing, do something.” Why not make Miles for Mission your thing today?
