The assembly is seen an important part of ongoing planning and discernment for the future. Its purpose is to discern a way forward with the people and parishes so that they can effectively meet the challenges facing the diocese in the near future.

The tour, which began in Belfast, will include visits to Derry, Tuam, Dublin, Knock and the archdiocese of Cashel and Emly.
