A letter to Santa

Dec 11, 2nd Saturday of Advent

11 December, 2021

Dear Santa,

I’ve been a good parent all year. I’ve given shelter warmth and food to the ones I love. I have cleaned and cuddled my kids. I have worked as a personal chauffeur, cook, therapist, football coach, tutor and (the rest) all year to them. I have woken up early and gone to bed late. I have kept them entertained and happy. I have watched their same favourite movie at least 100 times and I have made sure no monsters have been in the wardrobe or under the bed every single night.

I have so many things that I want this year and I don’t even have the time to write them all down on the back of the all the massive family shopping receipts that I have gathered.

I’d like a stronger back as mine is starting to hurt. I would like a new body as mine isn’t the way I remembered it. I would like a new house because mine is full of crayons and accidental damage, I would like a quiet night and time to talk on the phone. I would like a magic wand that stops kids from fighting and I would like a special pillow that makes me feel less tired. I know that’s a lot of things and you have lots of parents to go to so instead of all that I will ask for just one thing.

All that I really want is for my kids is to feel as happy as they make me feel every single day.

Imagine how Mary must have felt about her son Jesus.
